Dr. Jack Chen
is a graduate of U.C.L.A. and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in a program that is nationally recognized and consistently ranked as one of the top physical therapy programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. During his time at the university, he developed a high level of expertise in the diagnosis and management of movement impairment syndromes.
Today, Jack uses his knowledge, combining corrective exercises and manual skills, to effectively treat orthopedic and sports related injuries. Jack has also distinguished himself during his career with the presentation of his original research validating his own exercise-based interventions. He presented this research at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting, a national conference of his fellow physical therapist clinicians, researchers, and professors.
Striving for excellence in everything he does, Jack has had decades of competitive and coaching experience in Taekwondo at the national and international level. He held consecutive gold medals at California State Championships and Pan-American Open Championships. He was also the 1997 U.S. National Collegiate Champion, team captain and coach of the U.C.L.A Taekwondo team.
Currently, Jack spends his free time swing dancing and preparing for swing dance competitions. He is a proud dancer of the international champion swing dance team The Fly Rights as well as being the team’s physical therapist. The Fly Rights have won numerous dance competitions, including first place in the teams division at the National Jitterbug Championships, the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships and the International Lindy Hop Championships.
